Description: This unique bourbon is created from a singular blend of Mexican and American blue corns sourced from both small family farmers and larger organic producers. Intentionally youthful, yet Blue Velvet is a spirit that drinks “wise beyond its years”. After being cooked and fermented (fun fact: blue corn turns PINK when you ferment it due to a pH change that affects the anthrocyanins, the naturally occurring dyes with antioxidant properties that give blue corn its color!), we carefully distill this bourbon in small batches before resting it in charred new oak barrels for at least two years—our goal is to ensure the corns’ flavors remain the stars of the show.
